AllDoCube has a new smaller Android tablet that’s now out. The Freer X9. It has a fully laminated 2560 x 1600 resolution screen, 4GB of RAM MediaTek 8173 with PowerVR GX6250 GPU, 64GB, Wireless AC and runs Android 6.0. I’ve reviewed a tablet with this CPU before and while you might think that SoC wouldn’t have enough power to drive a 2560 x 1600 screen you’ll be surprised. While sure it won’t be as smooth as 1920 x 1200 or 1080p, the games I’ve tested with 4GB and the MTK8173 were playable.
AllDoCube Freer X9 has large bezels judging from the images and comes with a dated Android 6.0 ROM, so far these look to be the negatives of this unit and the 5800mAh battery. Of course, at only 8.9″ it’s probably hard to fit in anything larger than that. The build is metal and it also has a 13MP and 5MP camera set up.
Type-C port is also there, dual speakers and MicroSD card slot. I think for the current $169 USD it’s selling for it’s not looking bad at all.
