HP is adding two Chromebooks to its lineup for the CES 2018 Showcase. The Chromebooks are not actually new to us, one of the Chromebooks update version of the 2016 Chromebook 11 G5. Both Chromebooks feature the same processor, storage, and memory options, they differ in size: The Chromebook 14 G5 has a 14-inch screen, while the Chromebook 11 G6 Education Edition with an optional HD touchscreen on a 180-degree hinge that lets users fold the screen flat. But both the Chromebook 11 G6 Education Edition and Chromebook 14 G5 have the choice of an Intel Celeron N3350 or N3450 processor, 8GB of memory and 64GB of storage.
HP Chromebook 14 G5 Features
HP Chromebook 14 G5 is a 14-inch screen Chromebook, with a matte black design. Its keyboard is also spill resistant and we’ve got a wide-angle camera on board, plus an Intel Celeron N3450 or N3350 CPU, up to 8 GB of RAM and 16 or 64 GB of storage. There’s microSD, USB Type-C, and two USB 3.0 ports. A 720p webcam and a 14-inch screen round-up the list, together with the option of picking a Full HD or 768p resolution.
HP Chromebox G2 Features
The HP Chromebox G2 and it feels very much like a TV box, a mini PC with Chrome OS and your choice of Core i5, Core i7 or Celeron 3865U CPU, plus up to 16 GB of RAM. There’s 32 or 64 GB of storage (m.2.SSD), plus USB Type-C ports, 3 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 2.0 ones. We’ve got microSD, HDMI, Ethernet and all of those are found within a 4 cm thick machine.
Both will be out in February 2018.
