The Apple launched the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch variants of the iPad Pro 2 last June, highlighting a new display technology and slimmer bezels. According to Value Walk, Apple can bring more specs and features to the upcoming iPad Pro 3 as the current version of the tablet still has a few points to improve. Apple may finally consider introducing the OLED screen panels to the 2018 iPad Pro, allowing the users to enjoy the best viewing experience.
The shift to OLED screen will give way to a pristine 4K resolution, which can work with the iPad Pro’s massive screen. The 4K screen technology was already brought to the latest MacBook series, garnering positive feedback from the public.
More rumours around that the iPad Pro 3 model will be the first in the flagship tablet series to sport a TrueDepth Camera. This feature was first introduced in the iPhone X handset, which allows the device to get a clear 3D map of the user’s facial features. The information will then be used by the new biometric signature from Apple, the Face ID. MacRumors report cleared that KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that adding TrueDepth Camera to the 2018 iPad Pro will further raise the product’s competitiveness. However, the TrueDepth feature is only expected to arrive in the top-end iPad Pro models.
Apple has no official word yet about the development of the iPad Pro 3. Nevertheless, the latest rumours suggest that the next generation of flagship tablet will be unveiled in mid-2018.
