Nvidia Shield Tablets

Nvidia Shield Tablets will not get Android 8 Oreo, Nvidia is known for their powerful performance and speed which are added to most of our gadget. Nvidia developed two affordable tablets; shield tablet and shield tablet k1. These tablets were recently confirmed to get Android Nougat but, we this will be the last update for them, as they are not getting the Android Oreo update.

Manuel Guzman is a software quality assurance worker at NVIDIA. He recently took to Twitter to reply to a fan asking about updates for the tablets and confirmed that they won’t see Android Oreo. An update to the Android Nougat build now on the Shield K1 is still coming, but that’s it. It’s sad that the tablets won’t be updated but two years of software updates are what’s generally accepted for Android devices these days.

Nvidia Shield Tablet was initiated in July 2014. The tablet ships with an 8.00-inch display with a resolution of 1920 pixels by 1200 pixels. The Nvidia Shield Tablet is constituted by 2.2GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra K1 processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The tablet packs 16GB of internal storage that can be extended up to 128GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are worried, the Nvidia Shield Tablet packs a 5-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Nvidia Shield Tablet runs Android 4.4. It measures 221.00 x 126.00 x 9.20 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 390.00 grams. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Accelerometer and Gyroscope.
