French company Archos is expanding its Sense series with three new models. Two Android smart phones and a tablet will be launched on the market this fall, which is designed for outdoor use thanks to IP certification, water proof, dust proof and full resistance. The Archos Sense 47X is equipped with a 4.7-inch display, as can be observed in the product description. Its resolution is 720p. The Compact Smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 with 2 GB of RAM. The internal data memory holds 16 GB of data and can be expanded via a hybrid slot. The cameras release with 13 or 5 megapixels. The battery has a capacity of 3000 mAh and Android 7.0 is principal to the sales start.

The Sense 47X is certified to IP68 and is intended to withstand falls of up to one meter without damage. The same applies to the larger Sense 50X with a screen diagonal of 5.0 inches and FullHD resolution. Here is the same MediaTek processor. But there are 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. In addition, the battery with 3500 mAh is a little more robust and the main camera dissolves with 8 megapixels. Only for the larger model, there is NFC and USB Type C.

The Ruggedized Tablet Sense 101X is IP54 certified. So at least splash water protected. The 10.1-inch display resolves at 1280×800 pixels. Under the hood works a MediaTek MT8735 with 2 GB RAM. The expandable flash memory is 32 GB, the capacity of the battery is 6000 mAh.

All three devices will be available in Autumn 2017 in Germany, the Archos Sense 47X is to cost 199 Euros and the Sense 50X 279 euros. The recommended retail price of the Archos Sense 101X is 279 euros.
