Dell just unveiled another ruggedized Windows tablet, the Dell Latitude 7212 Rugged Extreme Tablet. It is designed specifically to be taken into the field and complies with the military standard MIL-STD-810G. This means it can withstand blowing rain, blowing sand, high altitudes and humidity. It can even withstand being frozen and thawed, making it suitable for researchers based in far flung corners of the world through to engineers working on major infrastructure projects. Tested to withstand repeated drops, its ruggedized exterior can even take an operating drop from 36-inches.
