Huawei MateBook E is an upgrade of the impressive Windows-powered hybrid MateBook from 2016. The 2-in-1 now offers, even more, to like about it, including an awesome display, an improved keyboard and latest Intel Core processor.
Design and Display
The Huawei MateBook E shows off a stylish look with a chic aluminium alloy body. It is quite slim at just 6.9 mm in thickness and barely weighs more than 1 kg with the keyboard.
The Huawei MateBook E 2-in-1 features an improved hinge design to let you use it in even more models. You may expect enjoyable typing experience on this one. The keyboard, which now rocks chiclet style, offers to the backlight.
The Huawei MateBook E rocks a 12-inch IPS display. This unit boasts stunning 2K resolution, just like they have it on the newly unveiled MateBook X.
The screen is quite bright as well at estimated 200 units. Huawei Mate E works with an optional MatePen offering 2,048-level pressure sensitivity.
Performance And Operating Systems
Huawei MateBook E looks like one that should deliver the quality of performance that will be satisfactory to many users, although not the best. The hybrid comes with seventh generation Intel processors (Core m3, m5 or i5).
The CPU is accompanied by either 4 GB or 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. Implemented graphics solution is Intel HD Graphics 615. The estimate has it that you should expect up to nine hours of battery life.
The Huawei MateBook E uses solid state drives wit a capacity of up to 512 GB. The Windows 10 device features a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging. In select markets, Huawei will be packaging the 2-in-1 with a USB-C to USB-A dongle and MateDock 2 for expanding connectivity options.
Huawei MateBook E features a 5 megapixels front facing camera. The stereo speakers provided are tuned by Dolby Audio Premium for decent sound.
