Samsung has just announced 2 new budget smartphones in India. The Galaxy J2 and the massive Galaxy J7 Max.
The Galaxy J2 (2016) will be priced at Rs. 9750 and available on July 14. Its has a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GBs of expandable storage. Camera combo is a 8MP/5MP setup with an interesting ring flash. The whole setup will be powered by a 2600mAh battery and it will run Android Marshmallow out of the box.
The Galaxy J2 (2016) has been built around the “Make for India” philosophy with some added features like S Bike mode, Ultra Data Saving mode and Turbo Speed Technology. Turbo Speed Technology is reportedly able to launch native apps 40% faster than devices with double the RAM. There is also the customizable LED notification ring called Smart Glow which can be setup to alert users of priority notifications from any app
The Galaxy J Max is an insanely large phone with a 7-inch WXGA display, a Spreadtrum SC8830 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.5 GHz, 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB storage with microSD, 8 MP/2 MP camera combo, LTE, 4,000 mAh battery and oddly it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
The J Max will set you back Rs. 13,400 from the end of July. The J Max comes with a Bluetooth headset included and a one-year premium subscription to the Viu streaming service.
