HP is once again making its way comeback to the gaming world with a new 15-and 17-inch Omen line of products. The Omen series will feature laptops, desktops, and accessories targeted across different price ranges, from cheaper notebooks up to higher-end for serious gamers with a variety of disposable income.
HP has announced a new line of two laptops and one desktop under this new Omen series. A 15.3-inch and 17.3-inch gaming laptops are powered by Windows 10 platform. However, the Omen series leads off with two laptops simply called the Omen, and are identical black notebooks with dragon red highlights, according to HP – around each key and on the lid. HP’s logo only shows up on the inside; instead, the rear portion of the laptops display a strange red diamond that looks vaguely gamery.. or tribal.., or whatever it speaks.

Nevertheless, the two Omen laptops are differentiated by their sizes and specs. The smaller model has a 15.6-inch display and starts with one Intel’s Core i3 processors, the larger model has a 17.3-inch display and start its processing with the power of an i5 CPU. Both of which can be configured with up to an i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 965M GPU, and a 4K display.

These gaming laptops come in Full HD and 4K IPS screen options along with NVIDIA GTX graphics. Other features includes accessories like a wide Vision HD Camera or an optical Intel RealSense Camera for 3D experiences, that allows gamers to gesture control apps to interact with the PC when playing hardcore games. Memory it uses of up to 512GB PCIe SSD or upto 2TB for a single storage options or dual storage expansion with of up to 4TB HDD and 128GB SSHD on select models.
Integrated both with Bang & Olufsen and HP Audio Boost technology that indeed offers added depth on dual speakers. With the support of fast charging HP claims up to 10 hours of Omen battery life on select gaming laptop models. The laptops come with Dragon Red backlit keyboard and features a dual fan, specifically designed to maintain performance and it packs a 62-watt battery.

The Omen desktop, looks like an average mid-tower desktop with a brushed metal casing and red lighting on the front. At the highest end, you can configure it with an Intel Core i7-6700K processor, 32GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and a 3TB standard hard drive. Naturally, you can also configure the desktop with NVIDIA’s new GTX 1080 Founder Edition card, or if you prefer AMD, a Radeon R9 390X. There’s also optional water-cooling, which could be helpful if you pick up an overclockable CPU.
Pricing for the HP Omen gaming laptops starts at $899.99 for the smaller model and $979.99 for the larger model. The OMEN laptops will go on sale directly via HP.com website and Best Buy on 10th of July 2016. The Omen Desktop will follow in August, unfortunately, HP hasn’t made any announcement of its full specifications or pricing yet, but can be expected sometime at least as expensive and probably a lot more unique.

HP also introduced it’s first line of Omen monitor, called the HP 32 Display. Featuring a 32-inch Quad HD display promising a 5-millisecond response time and a 75Hz refresh rate. Other features include wide viewing angles, brilliant visuals, a standard 100-percent sRGB color space, and a number of ports such as two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort connector, and a USB hub. It’s been certified with AMD’s FreeSync to reduce stutter. No pricing on that yet made either.
