The Microsoft Surface Phone has been in the rumour mill for a long time now. Rumors regarding a surface phone to be released have been in the markets since as early as June last year, with something new to  spark them back again every time the rumors begin to die out. The company has been working on the phone since quite some time and has maintained a stunning silence around it.
The latest has been Chris Capossela, the CMO of Microsoft commenting that there is a need for a ‘spiritual equivalent’ of the surface series of devices in the Microsoft Mobiles division.
Microsoft, when they acquired Nokia back in 2014, had their eyes on a bigger, stronger and brighter future for the world of technology. The company has been trying hard to change the way the markets work, and since the Microsoft Mobiles have been a flop show, but the Surface devices have had a bigger acceptability, the company is looking forward towards introducing a mix of the two – a surface phone.

Upon its ultimate release, the Surface Phones are expected to come out into the markets with massive features, the likes of which have never been seen before. This is due to the fact that the Surface Phones are a business-class offering.
The company is looking forward to load the phone with many productivity based apps and features, and the device is expected to be a lightweight, yet metallic offering. It is expected to feature specs such as 6 to 8GB of RAM, along with up to 500GB of internal storage space.
If the company ever releases this device, it will come out as the third product offering in the surface range of devices following the surface pro tablets and the surface book laptop. Microsoft is expected to release the Surface Phone devices around the month of October.
